Eating well is good for your health.

Why eating well is important

The food choices we make each day affect our health, so eating well is an important part of a healthy lifestyle. Together with being active, eating well can help you keep a healthy weight and reduce your risk of chronic diseases.

Eating well and maintaining a healthy weight significantly reduces your risk of disease and long term conditions. If you make healthy food choices your body will get the nutrients it needs to stay healthy, active, and strong. Healthy eating isn't about making big changes all at once, even small changes in your diet can really help and will have beneficial effects straight away. Healthy eating is all about understanding your eating habits and making progressive changes over time.

How we can help you improve your eating habits

We offer a FREE, 6-session programme on weight management and healthy eating.

Sessions are held once a week for six consecutive weeks and last for one hour. The course is friendly and informative and will help you to learn new skills to better manage your health, such as:

  • Moving more

The sessions are held at various venues across Bury and are available on a variety of days and times in order to meet the needs of the local community.

A virtual, online course is also available.
