Why swimming is good for health
Swimming is a low pressure form of exercise which is good for all round fitness. It gets your heart rate up which helps keep your heart and lungs strong but it takes some of the impact stress off your body. Swimming or exercising in water regularly will tone your muscles and improve your muscle strength. It's a great way to boost your mental wellbeing too.
How we can help you with swimming for your health
We offer swimming lessons for adults that can't swim or need to brush-up on their swimming skills, and we offer other aqua activities, such as gentle exercise in water and Aqua Tai Chi at our Bury Leisure centres.
