Find a primary school
Primary school admissions open for a set period of time each year, with a deadline for when applications must be submitted. For children starting school in 2023, the deadline to apply was 15th January 2023.
If your child is due to start school and you live in the Bury borough, you can apply for a primary school place online. The application will allow you to state your preferred schools and you can also apply for schools that are outside of the Bury area.
Apply for a primary school place
You must still apply for a school place for your child who is due to start school, even if you already have an older child who attends a nursery or school already.
Before applying online, we recommend you read the primary school admissions guide.
