Bury town centre road closures
Market Street – until July 2026
Sections of Market Street will be closed until July 2026 for road safety improvements part of the Fishpool and Pimhole Bee Active Travel Scheme. The road will be closed at different points as the works progress along the road n five phases. When the road safety improvements are complete, resurfacing will be carried out requiring a full-length road closure for part of the process. Diversions will be clearly signed.

Prestwich town centre road closures
Prestwich Carnival - Sunday 14 June 2026
On Sunday 14 June 2026 some roads in Prestwich will be closed to ensure Prestwich Carnival is held safely. Check which roads will be closed
Fairfax Road – from 13 October 2025 to July 2026
A short stretch of Fairfax Road is closed on weekdays in both directions to support construction of the new Prestwich Travel Hub. The road will reopen most weekends between 5pm Friday and 7am Monday. See more information and Q&A about the closure
Radcliffe town centre road closures
Spring Lane, Radcliffe - overnight road closure - 8 to 11 June 2026
