Bury town centre road closures

Peel Way - overnight closures 

Peel Way will be closed overnight from 7pm until 6am between Monday 7 to Friday 11 September 2026.

Work will take place overnight from Jubilee Way to a point 50m east of Harvard Road.

Diversion will follow Jubilee Way, Angouleme Way, Rochdale Road and Derby Way and vice versa.

Rochdale Old Road - overnight closures

Rochdale Old Road will be closed overnight between 7pm until 6am from Monday 17 August until Friday 4 September 2026.

Work will take place on the road from its junction with Chesham Fold Road to its junction with Martin Street.

Diversions will be via Bell Lane, Derby Way, Rochdale Road, Bury New Road, Bury Street, Bridge Street, Dawson Street eastbound/Market Street westbound, York Street, Queen’s Park Road, Bury & Rochdale Old Road and Rochdale Old Road and vice-versa.

While the road closure is in place, emergency vehicles will use a ‘Blue Light’ corridor through the works to get to Fairfield Hospital A&E.
