Welcome the Six Town Housing’s Webpage.

Bury Housing Service transitioned back into the Council in February 2024, however Six Town Housing Ltd own and manage 149 properties that are not part of the original Bury Council Housing Stock. As such they remain owned by Six Town Housing Ltd.

On this page you will find all the information relating to those who are still Six Town Housing, include company information, policies, where to report a repair and how to pay your rent.

Update - September 2025

Six Town Housing, the Council’s Arm’s Length Management Organisation was brought in house in February 2024. However, Six Town Housing Limited remained as a separate entity owning and managing 149 properties. On the 9th September, Bury Council agreed to begin the process of closing Six Town Housing Limited. As part of the process the council will seek advice on the future of the properties that STH owns and manages. New Landlords will be sought for the properties, that may be Bury Council or could be another registered provider.

There will be no immediate changes to the management or ownership of the properties. This process will take at least 18 months and tenants will be consulted on any proposed changes to your landlord.

Update - October 2025

Six Town Housing managed 34 properties on behalf of Mosscare St Vincent’s (MSV). As of 1st October, the lease ended and MSV took back management of the 34 properties. Tenants who this effected were consulted and should have been contacted by MSV. If you have any questions you can contact us here or speak directly to MSV on 0161 226 4211 (Monday to Friday from 8.30 am to 5 pm, closed bank holidays)
