- Work closely with the young person, their family, and professionals to identify changes in emotional or physical wellbeing.
- Provide small group interventions or tutorials on:
- Emotional wellbeing and mental health
- Physical health and fitness
- Sexual health and relationships
- Drug and alcohol education.
- Use structured resources such as the PSHE Association.
- Offer gradual exposure support to help young people attend health appointments confidently.
- Provide evidence-based interventions for issues like sleep hygiene and stress management (resources available such as Teen Sleep Hub and YoungMinds).
- Ensure young people with a learning disability understand the role of their GP and are supported to access annual health checks if they are eligible.
- Share practical tools such as coping strategies and self-help guides.
