The Bury Metropolitan Borough Council (MBC) Housing Needs and Demand Assessment 2020 (HN and DA) provides the up to date evidence to inform the strategies, policies and decisions of Bury Council and its partners. It will inform the production of the council's new housing strategy and support the development of the Local Plan.
This research provides an up to date analysis of the social, economic, housing and demographic characteristics of the area. The HN and DA presents the current stock of housing, current and future housing need and the housing requirements of different households. It identifies the type and size of housing needed by tenure and household type. It considers the need for affordable housing and the size, type and tenure of housing need for specific groups within the borough.
