Child car seats
It is vital to ensure that a child car seat is suitable for the child that is using it and the car that it is used in. When purchasing a car seat always ask the retailer for help with fitting a child restraint. You may also want to enquire about I-Size, Isofix and rearward facing for longer. Always ask the car seat retailer for help on fitting the child restraint when you purchase it.

Cycle training for children
Free cycle training is offered to all schools in the borough for children able to ride a bike, through a third party provider.
Years 5 and 6 pupils are offered a Level 1/2 course. The training is on-road, and is designed to increase confidence and enhance skills to enable pupils to use the roads more safely.
Cycle training for adults
The choice and cost of cycling courses available to you depends a lot on what you want from the course. There are courses designed to help adults become more confident on their bike with no emphasis on road riding, there are courses delivered from a health or social perspective and there are national standards (Bikeability) courses designed to increase skill and safety on the road. Bikeability is delivered across three levels including:
- Level 1 - Off road bike control and preparing for learning to ride on the road.
- Level 2 - Cycling on single lane roads and using junctions.
- Level 3 - Cycling on multi-lane roads and using complex junctions
Transport for Greater Manchester offer a variety of free adult cycle training courses from learning to ride, to on road training including commuting to work and national standards courses.
