On Sunday 14 June 2026 some roads in Prestwich will be closed, or have restricted access, to ensure the Prestwich Carnival Parade is held safely. Some waiting restrictions will also be in place.
Please plan ahead and allow extra time for your journey.

Roads closed between 12noon and 2pm:
- Rectory Lane - St Mary's Road to Heywood Road
- Heywood Road - Rectory Lane to Heys Road
- Heys Road - Heywood Road to Fairfax Road
- Fairfax Road - full length
- Bury New Road - Valley Park Road to Scholes Lane
- St Mary’s Road - full length
No parking or waiting between 8am and 4pm:
- Rectory Lane - Clarks Hill to Heywood Road (both sides)
- St Mary’s Road - full length (both sides)
