On Sunday 22 June 2025 some roads in Prestwich will be closed, or have restricted access, to ensure the Prestwich Carnival Parade is held safely. Some waiting restrictions will also be in place.
Please plan ahead and allow extra time for your journey.
Roads closed between 10am and 3pm:
- Rectory Lane - Clarks Hill to Heywood Road
- Heywood Road - Rectory Lane to Heys Road
- Heys Road - Heywood Road to Fairfax Road
- Fairfax Road - full length
- Bury New Road - Valley Park Road to Scholes Lane/Hilton Lane
- St Mary’s Road - full length
No parking or waiting between 8am and 4pm:
- Rectory Lane - Clarks Hill to Heywood Road (both sides)
- St Mary’s Road - full length (both sides)
