Welcome to Outwood Country Park

Outwood Country Park sits in over 125 acres of woodland, meadow and playing fields.

It features a wide variety of different wildlife habitats - woodland, open space, wetland, ponds and waterways. The park is a great place to visit, an ideal spot for a range of activities including walking, cycling, horse riding, fishing, picnicking, bird watching and nature study. It is home to a large variety of animals including roe deer, buzzards, barn owls, rabbits, the common toad, newts and more!

Outwood Country Park sits on the bank of the River Irwell in Radcliffe just 20 minutes away from Manchester city centre and a two minute drive from Radcliffe town centre.

Friends of Outwood Country Park

The Friends of Outwood Country Park Volunteers are a collection of local residents and park users who are passionate about Outwood. The group carries out fundraising and practical park improvement projects including balsam bashing, path maintenance and woodland management.

They look to improve the park for future generations and work in the fight against climate change.

They are always looking for people that can volunteer on a regular basis or when they can. They welcome volunteers who may have workplace volunteering days.


Incredible Edible Radcliffe

Incredible Edible are a community group that regenerate spaces to grow herbs, fruits and vegetables for everyone to enjoy. Volunteers are always welcome.


Radcliffe Litter Pickers

Radcliffe Litter Pickers are a friendly group of volunteers of all ages and backgrounds. Litter picking takes place in public areas, countryside and the canal. They do individual and group picks, new members are always welcome.

Radcliffe Town Football Club

Radcliffe Town Football Club are an amateur football team providing grassroots football from juniors to open age. Junior teams compete in the North Bury Junior Football League and open age teams are proud members of the Manchester Football League Ltd.
