Good news comes in twos
Hello everyone. It’s always a pleasure to be the bearer of good news, so let’s mention a couple of things that will benefit our borough.
Work is about to start on the new Radcliffe Enterprise Centre, which will play an important role in the regeneration of Radcliffe. It’s vital that our local budding entrepreneurs are given opportunities to start up and flourish, bringing skills, jobs and prosperity to the community.
The new centre will have much-needed meeting rooms, office space and facilities, allowing local businesses to remain in Radcliffe and not have to go elsewhere to operate.
It will be located in the existing Radcliffe Library, which will also remain in the building until it ultimately moves into bigger and better premises at the new Civic Hub currently under construction.

The second positive development concerns the blue bins. Until now, the only plastics you could recycle were plastic bottles. From this week, you can now put far more plastic products in your blue bin - from yoghurt pots to food trays and plastic tubs. This is great news, which many people have been asking for. It allows us to substantially increase our recycling rates, which will benefit the environment and save us money.
