Radcliffe Enterprise Centre and Library update

An enterprise centre is a place where people can work, start businesses, and get support and help to grow their business. 

An enterprise centre is needed in Radcliffe because unemployment is higher than in many other parts of the Bury borough. Office space within Radcliffe town centre is also limited meaning small businesses often have to leave the town.

The enterprise centre will offer people a place to work with hot desks and small offices to rent as well as easy to access expert advice and resources. This will help small businesses start up and grow.

The enterprise centre will have two floors.

On the ground floor there will be:

• Shared desks anyone can use (hot desks) 
• 8 rentable offices 
• A meeting room 
• Areas to have informal meetings 
• Access to Wi-Fi throughout the building  
• Kitchen space 
• Printed and online resources  
• Advice and information  

On the first floor (after the library has moved to the Hub in 2026) there will be:  

• Meeting rooms 
• Flexible spaces to work 

Yes. The library will be fully open on the first floor.

We will be making every effort to reduce the impact of this project on library customers. Where possible, noisy or disruptive works will be undertaken outside of library opening hours and if works must be carried out while the library is open, notice will be given.

We thank you for your patience during this transitional period before Radcliffe Library gets a permanent new home at Radcliffe Hub.

In the meantime, we are committed to providing a quality library service and hope you continue to enjoy what Radcliffe Library has to offer in its temporary location.

To allow the enterprise centre conversion works to go ahead, a site compound must be established within the car park to support the contractor’s day-to-day operations on site.

At least two standard and two disabled parking bays will be made available throughout the works.

At busier times this may mean it is necessary to park nearby instead. Parking within 100 metres of the library entrance is at the Riverside Car Park which is planned to re-open in early June.
