    • 8 require a 5 bedroom property

Waiting times

Applications on the housing register have been waiting on average:

  • 336 days for a 1 bedroom property
  • 400 days for a 2 bedroom property
  • 578 days for a 3 bedroom property
  • 518 days for a 4 bedroom property
  • 384 days for a 5 bedroom property

Housing advice and homelessness

  • 247 new cases opened
  • 412 active cases open on 30 April
  • 168 households required advice only
  • 18 households were threatened with homelessness
  • 60 households were accepted as being homeless

 Temporary accommodation

  • 3 households were placed in temporary accommodation
  • Average number of nights staying in temporary accommodation was 86 nights
  • 14 households secured accommodation
  • On 30 April there were 49 households in temporary accommodation
    • 32 Families with a total of 72 children
    • 17 single people
  • Bury Council do not use bed & Breakfast as temporary accommodation

Footfall and access to services

  • 742 telephone calls made to housing services
  • number of visitors to housing reception - not currently available
