  • Average 12 working days to process an application
  • 1,477 applications on the housing register
    • 747 require a 1 bedroom property
    • 386 require a 2 bedroom property
    • 272 require a 3 bedroom property
    • 61   require a 4 bedroom property
    • 11   require a 5 bedroom property

Waiting times

Applications on the housing register have been waiting on average:

  • 325 days for a 1 bedroom property
  • 413 days for a 2 bedroom property
  • 564 days for a 3 bedroom property
  • 628 days for a 4 bedroom property
  • 496 days for a 5 bedroom property*

* The council do not have any 5 bedroom properties in their stock. Applicants with a 5 bed need are able to bid on larger 4 bed properties that have a separate downstairs reception room.

  • Bury Council do not use bed and breakfast as temporary accommodation
