Get involved in your local park
Volunteering
Volunteers play an extremely important role in maintaining the standards of our parks and countryside sites. As well as undertaking many tasks ranging from patrolling, leading walks, improving small green-spaces, organising and running events and helping with gardening and gardening clubs it is also a great way to get active and learn new skills.
The role of volunteer is open to a wide range of ages. Experience isn't necessary as volunteers receive an induction and training.
Friends of Park groups
Some of our parks have Friends Groups who support the park by getting involved in future plans, improvements, events, fundraising and solving problems. See the individual park page for a link to the Friends Facebook page.
