BAAS Construction Supports Growing Together Radcliffe with £500 Donation
On Friday 17 April, BAAS Construction, one of our local roofing contractors, presented a £500 cheque to Growing Together Radcliffe Food Bank.
BAAS has recently been involved in several re-roofing schemes across the borough. The work included the replacement of fascias, soffits, rainwater pipes and the installation of new loft insulation.
Growing Together Radcliffe is a local referral food bank that supports residents who are struggling. With the continued rise in the cost of living, the food bank has seen a reduction in donations while demand for support continues to grow. The donation from BAAS will help them purchase essential food items and ensure shelves remain stocked for those who need them most.
Gill Smith, one of the directors of Growing Together Radcliffe CIC said “We’re very grateful to BAAS for their donation of £500 today because recently we've been struggling for donations, so this will really help. Obviously, with the cost of food and the cost of living, people can't afford to donate like they have been doing in the past and we're getting more and more people that need help, so we're really grateful."
If you would like to get involved by volunteering, please email tenantengagement@bury.gov.uk.
Donations of food items can be dropped off at the centre on Fridays between 9.30am and 12pm, or at one of the following drop-off points:
