Bury Housing Services supports many community initiatives and projects within our neighbourhoods. To volunteer or participate with future projects, please contact the Tenant Engagement Team at tenantengagement@bury.gov.uk.

Here’s some projects we’ve organised:

Estate Action Days

Monthly Estate Action Days are held across the borough, bringing together staff and residents to tidy up estates and dispose household items. Advice and support are also available by housing staff and partners.

Winter Wellbeing Project

We have worked with other council departments and partners to put together Winter Wellbeing packs for vulnerable residents. The packs included blankets, scarves, hats, gloves, socks, warm beverages, draught excluders, information leaflets and crafts and were delivered to community centres, drop-ins, libraries, community mental health groups and the local food banks/pantries to distribute to vulnerable individuals and families in need.
