The Government has announced a £100 energy support payment for residents living in properties which have Council Tax Bands from A to D.
You can easily find out the Council Tax band for the property you live in by following the link below:
If you live in a property with a Council Tax Bands from A to D and pay your Council Tax by Direct Debit, you will receive the payment automatically in January 2027.
For those who do not pay by Direct Debit, or who are exempt from paying Council Tax, Local Authorities are awaiting further guidance from the government, and we will update these webpages once this is received.
There will also be a discretionary fund to provide further support to households - including those in Council Tax bands E-H. Again, Local Authorities are awaiting further government guidance on how this will work, and we will provide updates to this once this is made available
