Bury’s partner agencies have come together to offer a wide range of training opportunities for professionals and community groups in Bury to expand their understanding of Domestic Abuse. All of our training opportunities can be accessed through the Bury Safeguarding Partnership website, which brings together a calendar of training events as part of our broader safeguarding offer.
There are also a two free online training offers from the government which may be of interest to professionals working within Domestic Abuse:
- Awareness of Forced Marriage - this online course has been developed with the Forced Marriage Unit of the Foreign Office and aims to raise awareness, challenge perceptions and explains what to do should you suspect someone is at risk.
- Conducting a domestic homicide review: online learning - by the end of the course you should be able to understand:
- the domestic homicide review processes
- your individual role and responsibilities within the review process
- the importance of sharing best practice and lessons learned locally and be able to demonstrate your knowledge of the review process.
