Event road closures

Black Pudding Throwing Championship in Ramsbottom  - Sunday 14 September 

For the safe holding of this event some roads will be closed, or have restricted access and parking and waiting restrictions will be in place. 

Road closures at:

  • Bridge Street (Crow Lane to Bolton Street)
  • Square Street (Smithy Street to Bridge Street)
  • Silver Street (Bridge Street for 30 metres in a southerly direction)

No parking or waiting at: 

  • Crow Lane -east side (Church Street to Athol Street)
  • Ramsbottom Lane - east side (Bridge Street to Factory Street)

Major road closures - Bury town centre

Market Street - from 27 May for approximately five months

To allow for essential repairs to Market Street Bridge. Market Street closed between the Pyramid Park access road and the Bury Athletics track entrance. See more information about the scheme and diversions

Angouleme Way - from February 2025 for 32 weeks 

The eastbound carriageway will be closed from 7pm to 6am on certain dates.  See more information about specific dates and times
