Important information for residents about Parklife at Heaton Park, Manchester

We know this weekend can be disruptive for local residents - thank you for your patience.
Roads and public transport will be busier than usual on these dates due to the Parklife Festival at Heaton Park.
Closures and waiting restrictions will be in place.
If travelling please plan and allow more time.

Parklife road closures

The green areas in the map are resident-only access zones - you can still get in if you live there (drivers may be asked to show proof they live there) but they’re closed to general traffic and can’t be used as a through route.
Main road closures (8pm – 1am)
- Blackley New Road – from Middleton Road to Riverdale Road (both directions
- Bury Old Road – from Whittaker Lane junction to Middleton Road junction (both directions)
- Heaton Park Road West – from Middleton Road to Sainsbury’s car park
- Meade Hill Road – from Sheepfoot Lane to Middleton Road (both directions)
- Middleton Road – from Victoria Avenue junction to Crumpsall Lane (both directions)
- Scholes Lane – from Heywood Road junction to Bury Old Road (both directions)
- Sheepfoot Lane – from Bury Old Road to Middleton Road (both directions)
- Sheepfoot Lane may also have periodic closures from 10am onwards for safety.
Traffic restriction (not full closure 8pm-2am)
- Whittaker Lane – open to westbound traffic only from the junction with Bury Old Rd. to the junction with Heywood Rd. All traffic must follow the direction of the one way system.
Parking / access closures (from 9am-2am)
Closed to prevent parking or drop-off.
Access will be retained for residents with proof of address or a permit, and park visitors accessing the car park.

Clearway restrictions (9am – 1am)
No stopping, parking, or loading. Vehicles may be towed if they breach the clearway order
- Sheepfoot Lane (full length, both sides)
- Meade Hill (full length, both sides)
