To ensure the new school is delivered as quickly as possible, we are continuing to actively collaborate with the Department for Education (DfE) and Star Academies.
Star Radcliffe Academy in the interim
During the interim period before the permanent new school is ready, current pupils and those joining in September 2025 will be taught in high-quality modular temporary facilities.
The DfE have commissioned work to expand and enhance the current temporary accommodation to provide for the second intake of pupils in September 2025.
The temporary accommodation is fully equipped with excellent resources and Star Academies are one of the country’s top-performing multi-academy trusts, committed to providing high-quality education and achieving excellent outcomes for all pupils.
The school construction project
Works for the new school construction project are proceeding in 2025.
Current and upcoming works
March 2025
Service diversions continue at Spring Lane, in preparation for the new improved traffic junction. For these works:
- part of the Banana Path will be closed
- temporary traffic signal-controlled crossings will be put in place
Please note: Traffic disruption will be minimised as far as possible, but at busier times, journey times may be extended. Road users are advised to allow more time to travel.
During March site excavation works start, followed by foundation works and installation of the steel building frame.
Future site works
Regular updates will be provided but site works will continue throughout 2025 and until the school is completed by summer 2026.
