The adopted Policies Map has been prepared taking account of the changes that have taken place since the adoption of the Bury Unitary Development Plan (UDP) in August 1997. The Policies Map illustrates all saved UDP policies as well as changes that have taken place as a result of the adoption of the following documents:

- Greater Manchester Joint Waste Plan (April 2012)
- Greater Manchester Joint Minerals Plan (April 2013)
