White Ribbon Day is on Monday 25 November and is the start of 16 days of action to end violence and abuse against women and girls. The White Ribbon campaign encourages everyone, especially men and boys, to make the White Ribbon Promise to never use, excuse or remain silent about men’s violence against women.

A series of events are taking place across the borough in support of the White Ribbon campaign throughout the 16 days of action.

Wednesday 27 November

Women of Worth Seasonal Market including White Ribbon awareness, 10am to 2pm.

Women of Worth offers a safe and supportive environment run by women for women, without exclusion. They strive to help women become emotionally resilient, stronger and more independent.

Thursday 28 November

One Step Gym, Bury, women’s session raising awareness about the White Ribbon campaign and domestic abuse, 1pm to 3pm.

One Step offers a holistic approach to mental health and physical wellbeing.

Friday 29 November

Metrolink, Bury Interchange, 10am to 3pm.

In collaboration with Transport for Greater Manchester, there will be a stall at the entrance to the Metrolink tram stop in the Interchange to raise awareness of the White Ribbon campaign.
