The annual Greater Manchester and Bury sports awards recognise the incredible achievements and dedication towards physical activity and sport in the area.
All ten boroughs of Greater Manchester hold their own yearly ceremony to celebrate the hard work and achievement of those involved in sport in their borough.
For each borough, the category winners are then put forward for the Greater Manchester sports awards.
Bury sports award nominations
The sports awards intend to celebrate the amazing work being done to support physical activity and sport across the voluntary, community and faith sectors in Bury. The awards aim to identify and acknowledge those who have:
- gone above beyond
- gone that extra mile
- had their greatest sporting year to date
- changed their life for the better because of getting active.
You can nominate a person, club or school to recognise their achievement, commitment and dedication or to celebrate their efforts.

Sports awards ceremonies
The Bury sports awards takes place every October at Bury Town Hall. The evening ceremony includes a three course meal, award presentations and special guests.
Winners of the Bury sports awards are also invited to the Greater Manchester sports awards ceremony in November, where the Greater Manchester champions are crowned.

- Young Sports Achiever of the Year

- Volunteer of the Year

- School Commitment to PE and Sport
