Bury's Big Balsam Bash 2025

Bury's 'Big Balsam Bash' took in place between May and early August 2025.

Many different friends of parks groups and parks volunteers, worked together with Bury Council's Parks and Countryside team to help stop the spread of Himalayan Balsam and protect Bury's parks and green spaces.

The numbers

The Balsam Bash took place in over 20 of Bury's parks and green spaces. Over 120 sessions cleared an incredible 23,995 square metres of balsam over a period of 1300+ people hours!
