Your Prestwich Library is back
Following a scheme of adaptation works at the Phoenix Centre, Prestwich Library will be open at its temporary location from Thursday 28 May 2026.
The library will continue to operate from the Phoenix Centre until its permanent new home is ready in Prestwich Village Centre, as part of the £100 million redevelopment of the Longfield Centre.
About the temporary library at the Phoenix Centre
The Phoenix Centre is located within the accessible St Mary’s Park, close to other community facilities and well served by public transport, offering the opportunity to combine a library visit with time spent enjoying your local Green Flag park.
