Joint Strategic Needs Assessment
A Joint Strategic Needs' Assessment (JSNA) describes the health, care and wellbeing needs of the local population. It provides a resource for local commissioners and supports decision making around services locally. It should identify priorities that will improve health and wellbeing and reduce health inequalities.
This is currently the holding page for the Bury JSNA, previously a web based version of local intelligence was available and contributed to by partners across the Bury locality. We are currently developing an improved JSNA offer which will be based on integrated data from across Bury Council and Bury CCG.
The JSNA will be used to support the future Bury 2030 Strategy and to inform the commissioning of health and care services to meet needs and priorities as described in the Bury 2030 Strategy.
The JSNA will be a continuous process and will be updated with new information and intelligence as it becomes available. The Bury JSNA will also be co-produced with local qualitative data ("Lived Experience") sought from our communities in order to ensure that it identifies priorities that are meaningful and important to our residents.
In the interim, before the new JSNA is produced, we will publish any relevant reports on this page. Please see below links to the latest analysis.
Please contact the Performance and Intelligence Team with any queries or requests for information and intelligence.
