Growing Together Radcliffe Support Centre opens in Radcliffe

Growing Together Radcliffe Support Centre officially opened its doors in February, located in the former ROC centre on Westminster Avenue, Radcliffe.

The new centre will function as a hub for several local charities and community groups, to help support residents within the area.

The centre is now home to Trinity Foodbank, which is now a referral only service. If you, or someone you know, wishes to be referred, please call up on 0161 686 8000.

Tina Harrison MBE, community volunteer lead at Trinity Foodbank and Growing Together Radcliffe Support CIC, said: “A lot of our stuff with be focused on the Let’s Do It! Strategy and what’s effecting this community and what we can do to build a stronger community. We’ve got a suggestion box outside for anybody who wants to put suggestions in about what they’d like to see. We’re also working with the local Police, so in the entrance, there’s a box that we’ve set up where people can post anonymised suggestions, and the Police are going to have a key to empty it.”

If you’d like to get involved with the centre or community groups, contact the Tenant Engagement Team on 0161 686 8000 or email tenantengagement@bury.gov.uk.
