Thank you to all our partners who attended the first meeting of 2025! We look forward to another year of striving to provide the best services in Bury.

This session focused on young people and homelessness, marking the successful implementation of Bury Council’s 16/17 Year and Care Leavers Protocol. This milestone brings us closer to achieving a key goal within the Bury Homeless Strategy 2022-2025.

Emma Appleby, Head of Service for Children and Young People, presented on the streamlining of the new protocol and the transition from Six Town Housing to Bury Housing Services. Two poignant case studies were shared, reflecting different experiences of youth homelessness.

Natasha Georgeson from Calico Pathfinders and Nic Jeffries from Early Break presented their service offers for young people and families. More information can be found on their respective websites:

Looking ahead to 2025, we will maintain a theme-based approach throughout our partnership meetings. The next meeting will be held on 15 May 2025, focusing on the review and co-design of the Homeless Strategy.
