Bury Remembers – Remembrance Activity in November 2026
Bury and towns across the borough will be commemorating Remembrance Sunday and Armistice Day during November 2026.
Parades, services and wreath-laying ceremonies will take place across the borough.
Armistice Day
The 11 November marks the end of the First World War when the guns fell silent at the eleventh hour, on the eleventh day of the eleventh month.
Service of Remembrance will be held at Gallipoli Gardens and the Radcliffe Cenotaph – further details to follow.
Remembrance Sunday
Takes place on the nearest Sunday to Armistice Day which this year takes place on 8 November 2026.
Bury Festival of Remembrance
Please join us for an evening of Remembrance through military musicians, spoken word from Veteran families and performance from Bury Fire Choir.
- Where: The Elizabethan Suite at Bury Town Hall
- When: Monday 9 November 2026, 7pm to 8pm (please be seated for 6.50pm)
