Small changes can make a big difference.

Could you do more to waste less and save money in the process?

For tips, tricks, checklists and guides to help you waste less and recycle more visit the Recycle for Greater Manchester website

Composting your waste is a cheap, natural process that allows you to recycle your kitchen and garden waste into valuable food for your garden. Compost can be used to help your garden grow and is an easy way to reduce you waste by up to a third.

Find out more about how you can compost at home by visiting the Recycle for Greater Manchester website.

Furniture donations

If you have furniture items you no longer want but are in good condition, you can donate them to a local community scheme or charity.

Mustard Tree collect donations of unwanted furniture and also accept items dropped off at their warehouse.

You might wish to visit the Recycle for Greater Manchester website for ideas on what you can do with unwanted furniture or you can also take unwanted furniture items to your nearest household recycling centre.

Other donations

Items that you no longer want or need, but are too good to waste, can be donated to Renew by dropping them off at donation containers at the recycling centres. Your items are then sold in the Renew shops, where money raised supports good causes across Greater Manchester.
