We are pleased to invite you to participate in the Parent & Carer, SEND Stocktake Survey. This survey is an important opportunity for you to provide feedback on the progress of Bury Council’s SEND services, specifically in relation to the actions outlined in the Priority Impact Plan (PIP).
While we understand that the impact of our improvements to SEND services may not yet be fully felt by our families in Bury, we appreciate your insights through this survey to help us understand our progress from your perspective.

Purpose of the Survey: This survey aims to obtain a baseline in preparation for the stocktake in July, which will assess our progress against the actions in the PIP. The stocktake is part of the monitoring arrangements by the Department for Education (DfE) and is designed to review the progress and performance of our local area in delivering the agreed SEND Local Area Priority Impact Plan. The goal is to ensure that we are on track with our improvement plan and to provide further guidance if needed.
Your Feedback Matters: This survey has been carefully co-produced with BURY2GETHER to ensure it is as accessible and relevant as possible. It is a valuable opportunity for you to share your experiences and thoughts on the progress of SEND services in Bury. Your feedback will be included in the stocktake visit, allowing your voice to be heard and considered during this important assessment.
Focus of the Survey: Please note that this survey is not a comprehensive review of all SEND services. Instead, it focuses on the areas covered by the PIP, including both strengths and areas for improvement. We understand that there are many aspects of SEND services that are important to you, and we assure you that a more comprehensive survey will be conducted in the future to capture feedback on all areas.
