Bury Adult Learning Service helps Bury borough residents improve their lives through learning. Our wide range of courses are designed to be inclusive, supportive and accessible to adults of all backgrounds and skills level. By enrolling on one of our courses, residents can enhance their quality of life, contribute to the local economy, and progress to further learning, training, or volunteering opportunities.
We are committed to offering the support and guidance needed to help residents succeed and progress in their studies and into employment.
We know that for many people making the choice to join an adult learning class can be a big step. We want to support them however we can on their learning journey.
Learner Services are available throughout the year to help residents decide which course is best for them. Our friendly staff offer advice, guidance and information either by appointment, phone or online. We offer a range of information and support, including the following.

Eligibility/criteria
Bury borough residents, aged 19 and over, are eligible to enrol in Bury Adult Learning courses.
Learner Support Fund
The Learner Support Fund is a limited discretionary grant provided to help learners experiencing financial hardship to stay in education. This fund can be used to help with the following.

Please note: All support funds are subject to individual eligibility and the availability of funds.
If you have been mandated on to a course by the Job Centre, you may not be eligible for help from this fund.
