A message from James Frith, Member of Parliament for Bury North.

The issue of AI and copyright in the creative industries is one that resonates with so many people across Bury North. I regularly hear concerns about the growing power of big tech, the lack of recognition for creative work, and the struggle for fair compensation in a rapidly evolving digital world.

While automation promises increased efficiency, it also risks eroding the very essence of what makes creativity human: imagination, originality, and expression. This is something I care about deeply, and I’d love the opportunity to hear your thoughts and discuss it with you.

That’s why I’m inviting you to an exclusive Coffee Morning for Creatives on Saturday 31st May at 11:00am, at Ramsbottom Civic Hall. It will be a relaxed and informal gathering where we can share experiences, exchange ideas, and speak honestly about what the future of creativity should look like – and how we ensure it works for everyone.

I’d be really grateful if you could let me know if you’ll be attending by registering here: jamesfrithforburynorth.com/creatives-coffee. Please feel free to share this invite with anyone else who might be interested, but please note that registration is essential. Due to parliamentary security requirements, only those who have registered in advance will be admitted into the event.

I look forward to seeing you there.
