We collect and use this information in order to facilitate your participation in our Fairway Park consultation.

What information we will collect from you (the purpose and legal basis for processing information)

Postcodes collected through questionnaire responses.

The data collected will only be used for the purposes of consulting with you for the Fairways Park scheme. This is on the legal basis that this is necessary for a task we are carrying out to benefit society as a whole and in accordance with our powers as set out on s111 of the Local Government Act 1972.

How we ensure the security of your data

We have appropriate security measures in place to prevent personal information from being accidentally lost or used or accessed in an unauthorised way. We limit access to your personal information to those who have a genuine business need to know it. Those processing your information will do so only in an authorised manner and are subject to a duty of confidentiality.

We also have procedures in place to deal with any suspected data security breach. We will notify you and any applicable regulator of a suspected data security breach where we are legally required to do so.

Information retention

Bury Council will keep your information for 30 days, in alignment with our Record Retention Procedures. We will hold information provided by you as part of the Fairways Park Consultation for up to 30 days following the closure of a consultation.

Transferring data

All data collected as part of this project will remain in UK.

Data sharing

Your data will not be shared with any partners outside of Bury Council.
