All badges that can no longer be used should be destroyed and reported to us to stop them being used illegally.
Please destroy the badge if:
- it has expired
- you are no longer eligible for a badge
- you have found the badge you thought was lost or stolen (please destroy the original)
- you no longer need it
- you have moved out of Bury and have another valid badge from another council
- the badge holder dies
If you tell us that badge holder has died, or if we find out another way we will cancel the badge. When you register a death you will be given the option to use the Tell Us Once service. If you choose to use this service the registrar will pass the details to the Blue Badge team to cancel the badge.
