About this notice
This privacy notice is to supplement the information the Council currently makes available about how the organisation collects and holds personal information. It relates specifically to the services and related support it is providing during the current Coronavirus pandemic (Covid-19) and it provides additional privacy information about the services and other related support you have volunteered to assist in the provision of by Bury Community Hubs and the Council's Contact Centre.

Legal basis for processing
The legal basis for processing your personal information comes from Article 6 of the UK General Data Protection Regulations (UK GDPR). The following sections apply:
- Article 6(1)(a) - Consent - the data subject has given explicit consent to the processing of those personal data for one or more specified purposes.
How we use your data
We will collect, hold and may share personal information about you for the following purposes and with the following organisations:
- Recording and logging your involvement as a volunteer
- logging requests for services, or reporting problems to relevant Council departments and the NHS Bury Clinical Commissioning Group
- providing updates on the progress of outstanding calls
- Emergency Services
- Other NHS agencies
- Voluntary organisations
Categories of personal data
In order to carry out these purposes we collect the following types of information:
- your name
- your address
- your phone and/or email contact details
- your date or birth and National Insurance number
- DBS information
Data retention
We will only retain your personal information for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes we collected it for, and in accordance with relevant legislation.
