To inspect the register you need to make an appointment with the Local Land Charges office. The appointment times are 10.00, 10.30 and 11.00. You will need to book the addresses for your appointment giving at least 24 hours notice. There is no limit to the number of searches you make although for practicable reasons you will be required to complete a search in the register in the time allocated to you. A limitation of one appointment per individual/firm each day will be applied to ensure fair and reasonable access for all.
If you are attending a Personal Search appointment you can also view, free of charge, the Planning, Highways and Environmental Health Registers.
Protection under the Land Charges Act 1975 is only available when using the CON 29 forms. When conducting a Personal Search instead of an Official Search you will not be able to pursue legal action against the Council if the information gathered is incorrect.
To make a Personal Search appointment, please contact the Local Land Charges Office.
