
Update on our changes to communal cleaning
In October, following your feedback that the communal areas were dirty and not being maintained, we increased the number of times we clean our general needs blocks from a 4 weekly to a 2 weekly programme. This was to improve the appearance and standard of service being delivered. In addition to this, to ensure we were getting this right, we increased the number of times we inspect our blocks to enable us to closely monitor the service being delivered.
We have seen some positive results and since October, a high number of our blocks have improved. In some of our schemes, increasing the cleans has highlighted where deep cleans are required to bring up the standard so the cleaners can maintain this moving forward. We are currently visiting blocks and carrying out these deeper cleans at present and hope to complete these by January 2025.
The increase in cleans has also highlighted where we need to invest in our floors and communal areas to improve the appearance and standard of our blocks. This work will be reviewed and added to our capital programme for future investment.
