Polefield Estate Action Day
On Tuesday 15th April, we held an Estate Action Day on Polefield Estate in Prestwich. The event provided tenants with access to free skips for disposing of rubbish, a litter-picking across the estate, and Easter-themed crafts and activities for children.
In total, 3.96 tonnes of waste were collected, contributing to a cleaner environment for the community. Over 30 children participated in Easter activities including painting and egg decorating.
One tenant from Polefield Estate said: "It’s great the Council are putting on these sorts of days, it’s putting money into making the estate and homes better.”
The day offered support, advice and assistance to tenants and fostered community engagement, to help towards visibly improving the estate.
