Keeping our vulnerable residents Winter Well
Around 450 winter warmer packs for those most in need have been produced and will be distributed in December across the borough.
Each year, we work with Bury Council’s public health team and partners to create winter warmer packs for Bury’s most vulnerable residents.
The packs include: a neck warmer, thermal socks, heat pad, fleece blanket, thermal lunch pot, wind up torch, sweet treat, Winterwise booklet and various information leaflets detailing where local support is available this winter.
These packs will be provided to community organisations across the borough, where they can be distributed to those most in need. We have 30 packs to distribute so if you’d like to receive one, please email tenantengagement@bury.gov.uk with your name and address.
Partners who were involved in the work and will be distributing a number of packs include: Age UK Bury, Home from Hospital, Bolton Road Pantry, Trust House, Care Experienced Adults, Attic Project, Bury African and Caribbean Women's Centre, Aging in Place Hub, Fire Service, Staying Well Team, Live Well, Homelessness, Rapid Response, Mosses Centre, and VCFA.
