Gas Safety Week

As Gas Safety Week kicks off, Bury Housing Services is urging all tenants to prioritize gas safety in their homes. Running from September 9th to 15th, this annual event aims to raise awareness about the importance of regular gas appliance checks to prevent accidents.

We’d like to remind tenants that we are required by law to conduct annual gas safety checks on all gas appliances. These checks allow us to identify potential hazards like carbon monoxide leaks, which can be deadly.

Over the past year, we have completed 100% of our gas safety checks and we’d like to thank our tenants for your cooperation with this. For you and your family’s safety, it’s important to allow us access for these inspections and report any issues with your gas appliances immediately.
