Fountain Place Estate Action Day
On Thursday 12th June, we held an Estate Action Day on the Fountain Place and Top O’Th Fields area of Whitefield. The event provided tenants with access to free skips for disposing of rubbish, and litter-picking across the estate.
In total, over 3 tonnes of waste was collected, contributing to a cleaner environment for the community. We engaged with around 50 tenants and completed 17 Tenant Satisfaction surveys. These surveys are key to understanding your views on our services and identifying areas where we can improve.
Here are some quotes we received on the day from local tenants:
“Thank you for helping move my sofa out and disposing of it. This has allowed me more room in my flat to safely move around and saved me money I didn’t have to spend.”
“I appreciate staff doing this for us all.”
“Thanks for all the help given.”
We'd like to say a huge thank you to the 29 people who volunteered on the day! This included Housing staff, Councillors, Live Well Service, Bury College students on work placement, GGI Contractors and volunteers from Top O’Th Fields’ Gardening Group.
We'll be running more Estate Action Days on:
- Topping Fold Estate, Bury, on Tuesday 29th July, 11am - 2pm
- Percy Street & Massey Street, Bury, on Thursday 11th September, 11am - 2pm
