Chesham Green Space Regeneration Project
Chesham Fold Green Space Regeneration has now been completed after Bury Housing Services received funding to improve the area.
Last year, £300,000 from the UK Government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund was awarded to carry out environmental improvements on Chesham Fold estate. Our Neighbourhood Team held a successful resident consultation event at Chesham Fold Community Centre to encourage residents to share their views and feedback on the proposed plans that were drawn up by the architects, Arcus, and feedback was positive and welcomed the plans.
This project aims too:
- Improve the overall appearance of the subways.
- Improve the green space outside the community centre and shops.
- Reduce Anti-Social Behaviour, crime, fly-tipping, and rubbish.
This project has been made possible thanks to Greater Manchester Combined Authority securing funding to deliver UKSPF projects, which forms part of the Government’s wider Levelling Up agenda.
We’re currently carrying out a survey in the area to find out resident’s opinions of the recent work so if you live on Chesham estate and would like to complete our survey, please email tenantengagement@bury.gov.uk.
