Casual employment opportunities

Now more than ever we need to look after our most vulnerable residents and we are looking for people to fill a variety of roles to help get us through the coronavirus outbreak.

We are looking for friendly, caring, compassionate and dependable people to help us through this. That's where you come in.

You may have never considered a role in the public sector previously, but with many businesses temporarily closing, you will have transferable skills that we need.

Interviews will be held via telephone or video call, with recruiters looking to match your skills to the roles available.

Roles include, but are not limited to:

  • care and support worker
  • cleaning
  • administration
  • occupational therapy
  • cooks

You can help fight the coronavirus outbreak.

Volunteering opportunities that support local health and social care needs

Bury VCFA are helping to recruit new volunteers to support the health and wellbeing of our most vulnerable residents.

There are two ways in which you can get involved:

  1. By assisting people with basic care and support needs such as shopping.
  2. By looking out for a vulnerable neighbour such as someone that is elderly without a support network of family or friends.

Please note: Having a DBS check will allow you to get involved in a wider range of volunteering options.

Volunteers are critical during this time but it is essential efforts are co-ordinated and delivered in a way which doesn't cause harm or spread the virus further.  Together with Bury VCFA we have compiled a Volunteering Position Statement which sets out the key principles volunteers should follow during the coronavirus outbreak.
