Polling district and polling places statutory review
The Electoral Registration and Administration Act 2013 requires a polling district and polling places review to take place in the period of 16 months from 1 October 2018
This review will ensure that any relevant changes to polling districts can be made to the Register of Electors which will be published on 1 December 2019.
Notice of Review of Polling Districts and Polling Places 2019
Notice is hereby given that Bury Council is to carry out a review of polling districts and polling places within the Bury Council area in accordance with Section 18 (C) 1 of the Representation of the People Act 1983.
The Returning Officer will make comment on proposed polling stations.
Electors within the authority or within a UK Parliamentary constituency which has any part in the authority may make a representation.
The Council would welcome any person or body with expertise in access for persons with any type of disability to make a representation or to comment on the authority's proposals.
Persons or bodies making representations should, if possible, give alternative venues that may be used as polling places.
