Highway asset management

Carriageway resurfacing programme 2018-2021

We're prioritising improvements to the borough's roads as part of our major £10m Highways Investment Programme until April 2021.

The three-year programme of works is designed to ensure the surfaces of our streets, roads and cul-de-sacs are high quality, durable and safe - supporting residents and motorists.

Specialist teams will be out across Bury improving over 200,000 square metres of carriageway - the equivalent of 30 football pitches.
