Volunteers in a wide variety of roles are essential to the safe holding of the Bury Running Festival which has Bury residents at its heart.

Volunteers are part of a fun and friendly team that helps the runners have a fantastic experience and raise valuable funds for charities.

Ways you can get involved

There are lots of ways individuals, sports clubs or community groups can get involved with supporting the delivery of the Bury Running Festival.

Volunteering roles include:

  • Race office – Helping to hand out race packs and answering any questions runners may have.
  • Bagge store – sorting bags into numerical order and speedily reuniting runners with their bags.
  • Route marshal – keeping an eye on the route and cheering on the runners
  • Finish processing – congratulating runners and handing over their medals, water and goody bag.
  • Drink station – help with setting up and packing down the drink station.
  • Branding – supporting the Run For All marketing team with the installation of branded display materials.
