Bury's Arts Team supports and develops arts activity all over the borough

Bury Art Gallery & Museum is the council's flagship for the arts and is home to the famous Wrigley Collection of Victorian paintings as well as a venue for exhibitions of contemporary art. The local history of Bury can be explored through displays in the museum and there are frequent events for visitors of all ages.

The Irwell Sculpture Trail is a major Lottery project running through and run from Bury, where Ulrich Ruckriem and Edward Allington are just two of the artists whose work you can visit.

Most of the work the Arts Team does is less public, helping people of all ages to discover and enjoy the arts in dozens of different ways. the plans for the future are detailed in Bury MBC's Culture Strategy.
