Bury Light Night

2013 Bury Light Night took place on Friday 11 October 2013 from 6pm until late

This year's Light Night got back to its roots by showcasing the best of Bury. Thousands of people clocked to Bury to celebrate the heart beat of the town through arts and culture and experienced a unique programme of live music, performance, dance, storytelling, weird and wonderful art commissions and bustling markets.

Venues were open across the town including:

  • Bury Art Museum.
  • Bury Library.
  • The Fusilier Museum and Tourist Information Centre.
  • The Met.
  • Castle Armoury.
  • The Transport Museum.
  • The Mill Gate Shopping Centre.
  • The Rock Shopping Centre.

There were weird and wonderful happenings for all to discover weird in the town's public spaces, including at:

  • Kay Gardens (outside the Bus and Rail Interchange)
  • Library Gardens (Silver Street)
  • Gallipoli Gardens (Silver Street)
  • Parish Church Gardens 
  • Lions Gardens (Crompton Street).
